2020 - COVID
PCW kicks off 2020 with our Summer Series Tournament, won by Cass Stone. In March, PCW would stage Grandslam at the State Basketball Centre in front of another record breaking crowd. This event would be our last for 8 months due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
2021 - RETURN TO EVENTS... OR SO WE THOUGHT
With audiences again permitted by the Victorian government (subject to social distancing), PCW action returned to the South Eastern Entertainment Centre in late 2020. In January 2021, PCW became the first Australian promotion to stream live on Global TV giant FITE.tv. The year was interrupted by further State-wide imposed restrictions and lockdowns. Between July and November, PCW was unable to stage events.
2022 - RETURNING FROM COVID
In the first uninterrupted year following COVID lockdowns, PCW attracted almost sell-out audiences at each live event. The PCW National Championship changed hands twice, with Ryan Rapid defeating Mark Kage, and Tommy Hellfire defeating Ryan Rapid. Dubai National “The Sensational” Shen became PCW Slam Champion winning the 2022 Destiny Ladder Match, on the very same night he was the last man standing in a grueling Battle Royal.
2023
The PCW Academy and MCW Academy merge to become The Wrestling Academy, Australia’s largest professional wrestling school. Tommy Hellfire’s 12-month reign as PCW National Champion came to an end at the hands of WAIK at PCW Carnage in July. Ruby takes over as PCW President, defeating Karl Grove in a controversial spectator-voted election. The South Eastern Entertainment Centre is renovated and debuts a brand new stage for PCW live events.
